Following reports of potential drug deals taking place in a Maidstone underpass, Kent Police officers decided to monitor the area.
They received the first reports of suspicious activity on 11th and 19th June 2024, when it was alleged a man was seen dealing drugs to a local known user in an underpass near Medway Street.
Less than a week later, officers saw a suspect matching the description near Pudding Lane and arrested him on suspicion of drugs-related offences.
Subsequent searches led to the arrest of a second man and the seizure of numerous bags of cocaine, 29 bags of cannabis, a quantity of cash, and two mobile phones.
Elton Selimaj and Erald Koxha, both 25, of Pudding Lane, have since been charged with possession with intent to supply cocaine, possession with intent to supply cannabis, being concerned in the supply of cocaine, and possession of criminal property.
Both men pleaded guilty to the charges relating to possession at Maidstone Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 26th June.
They have been remanded in custody, pending a further hearing at the same court on 22nd July 2024.
