A care worker who has dedicated 23 years to supporting residents at Iden Manor Nursing Home is celebrating a remarkable long-service milestone.
Miranda, one of the home’s longest-serving team members, was recognised by colleagues and management for her contribution to the nursing home in Staplehurst, where she has spent nearly a quarter of a century caring for people, supporting families and helping to maintain the home’s strong reputation for compassionate care.
The milestone was marked by colleagues who wanted to recognise not only the length of Miranda’s service but also the difference she has made to the lives of others throughout her career. Her commitment, compassion and positive outlook have left a lasting impact on everyone who has had the pleasure of knowing and working alongside her.
For Managing Director Umbreen David, the occasion was particularly meaningful. Reflecting on Miranda’s contribution, she said: “Some people leave a lasting impression wherever they go. For the past 23 years, Miranda has done exactly that at Iden Manor. Over the years, she has supported people through both difficult and joyful moments and been a trusted colleague to generations of team members.
“Her kindness, patience and unwavering commitment has helped shape the warm, supportive culture that defines Iden Manor today. We are incredibly grateful for everything she has given over the last 23 years and feel privileged that she has been part of our journey for so long. Congratulations, Miranda, on an exceptional milestone and thank you for your dedication, kindness and unwavering commitment to the people who call Iden Manor home.”
Long service milestones are becoming increasingly rare across many sectors, making Miranda’s achievement particularly special. Her dedication reflects not only her personal commitment to care but also the strong relationships that develop within close-knit care home communities. Miranda’s career serves as a powerful example of how a rewarding and impactful career can be found in the social care sector.
At Iden Manor, continuity of care is highly valued. Long-serving team members help provide familiarity, reassurance and consistency for residents and their families, while also mentoring newer colleagues and preserving the culture and values that underpin high-quality care.
The celebration also provided an opportunity to recognise the wider contribution of care professionals who dedicate their careers to supporting others. Behind every care service are individuals whose commitment often spans years or even decades, quietly making a difference to the lives of hundreds of people along the way. As Iden Manor celebrates Miranda’s remarkable achievement, there is a shared sense of gratitude for everything she has contributed over the past 23 years.
