Faversham-based renovation company Comptons Kitchens announced its latest expansion, opening its third showroom in Tenterden later this year.
The family-run company opened its first store in Faversham approximately eight years ago, branching into offering kitchen services three years later. Shortly after this, they opened a second showroom in Herne Bay.
On Sunday, 11th February, the team announced their expansion into Tenterden on social media after signing their lease for the former Crew Clothing store.
They have put in planning permission for new shop signage, and complete construction is to commence in March.
The showroom is predicted to open in April – May this year and will be celebrated with an opening event. More details of the event are due to be announced.
Additionally, the team will excitedly share their journey through social media, providing behind-the-scenes insights into constructing their third showroom.
Following the announcement, residents have expressed their congratulations and excitement on social media for the new store on the Tenterden High Street.
Responding to the positive feedback on Instagram, Tilly Gander-Compton, 21, Social Media Manager, said: “We’re very excited to see them too, and we’re looking forward to the opening. It’s nice to see how the local community follows our story on social media.”
“We thrive off the local community, and we’re not Comptons without their continued support,” she added.
After years of research of the surrounding areas of Kent, Comptons Kitchens is thrilled to bring its “person-centred values” to a new clientele.
Regarding the company’s expansion, Olivia Pickard, 20, Administration Manager, said: “All of us have worked incredibly hard to get to this stage. This has not been a quick decision for us, but we’re excited to see how things go.”
“We’re not naive to the work that needs to be put in, but we’re more than happy to take this opportunity and run with it,” she added.
Jacob Compton, Business Owner, told Kent Online: “Being quite an old quintessential town, Tenterden is very similar to what our original store in Faversham is but maybe on a slightly bigger scale – it’s got lots of independent shops which we are as we’re a family-run company and we’ve always had these family-run values.”
“I think our business and philosophy will fit really nicely here.”
