Kent Police made a tactical stop of a suspicious black Range Rover in Dartford on Wednesday.
The police were on patrol when they spotted the vehicle, which required a tactical stop. The vehicle was displaying false registration plates and further checks identified it had been stolen from Greenhithe only last week.
Both occupants have been detained for further questioning.
