Raj Bisram Named Mayor Of Cranbrook

Celebrity antiques expert and auctioneer, Raj Bisram has been inaugurated as the new Mayor of Cranbrook.

Raj took part in a celebration in the centre of Cranbrook on Saturday 7th October 2023, as he was joined by locals. There was a Saturday market in the High Street as the celebrations took place.

Raj founded Bentley’s Fine Art and Antiques Auction House in Cranbrook, Kent in 1995.

He became famous with his appearances on BBCs Bargain Hunt, and has also appeared on several other TV programmes including Antiques Road Trip, Flog It!, Four Rooms, Posh Pawn, Celebrity Antiques Road Trip, and Would I Lie To You?.

Raj said “Today was a proud day for me as I was made the new Mayor thank you to all the people of Cranbrook in Kent I will do my best love to all”.

As well as his love for antiques, his other interests include cooking, skiing, cricket and tennis along with bridge and poker in which he has won a tournament. He also loves magic and is a former member of the Magic Circle.

He is a popular choice to be Mayor, with the full support of those living in Cranbrook. He replaces Wayne Price who was elected as Mayor of Cranbrook in 2022.
