Two Arrested After Cannabis Found Growing In Ashford

Two people have been arrested after officers uncovered a drugs cultivation in Ashford.

Kent Police attended a property in Sandilands during the morning of Saturday 7th October 2023, following a report of suspected criminal activity in the area.

Three rooms within the property were found to be filled with 147 mature cannabis plants and growing equipment. A bag of white powder – suspected to be cocaine – was also seized by officers.

A 22-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman, both from Ashford, were arrested on suspicion of producing cannabis and possessing Class A drugs with intent to supply. The man was also arrested on suspicion of abstracting electricity. They were released on bail until December pending further enquiries.
