Two drug dealers from Maidstone have been jailed for a total of five years after cocaine blocks with a street value of up to £35,000 were found at their home.
Klevis Arifi, 21, was arrested on Saturday 15th March 2025 after officers stopped a car suspected of use in drug supply in Boxley Road, Maidstone. The police discovered eight bags of cocaine inside the vehicle.
Klevis informed officers he lived in a flat on Union Street, Maidstone, and upon entering they found 28 year old Asllan Cani who was also arrested for being concerned in the supply of cocaine. A search of the flat uncovered £1,050 in cash, multiple deal bags of cocaine and two vacuum packed blocks of cocaine with a combined weight of 204g.
An expert later approximated the pure cocaine was worth £10,000, but once processed could be worth a further £20,000 to £25,000.
Text messages discovered on seized phones indicated the pair were involved in local drug dealing, both as street dealers and higher up the hierarchy of the local County Lines operation.
Cani and Arifi, both of Union Street, Maidstone, pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of cocaine and possession of criminal property. Arifi also admitted to driving with no insurance.
They were each sentenced to two and a half years in prison at Maidstone Crown Court on Friday 19th September 2025.
Investigating officer PC Brandon Mills said ‘This is a great result as it takes a large quantity of class A drugs off the streets as well as people key to supplying them to the Maidstone area. The initial traffic stop was only made possible through extensive background work by officers, with solid work then carried out by the whole team to secure our case.’
