A police car responding to an emergency call was involved in a crash on the M20, reports Kent Police.
The force said the unmarked blue Skoda Octavia had its lights and siren on while on route to a fatal crash near Deal on Monday, when it collided with a blue Nissan Qashqai.
Investigators have requested dashcam footage and witnesses of the crash to contact the force.
They are trying to locate the driver of a lorry with a white trailer, which was in the adjacent lane when the crash took place on the coastbound carriageway near Charing at about 11pm.
“No serious injuries were reported and the three occupants of the second car were taken to a local hospital as a precaution,” Kent Police said.
