On Wednesday the 10th of July, the care regulator, the Care Quality Commission (CQC), announced that Bethany Lodge and Bethany House in Dymchurch — part of Active Care Group — have both been awarded with a ‘Good’ rating across all assessment frameworks of being safe, effective, caring, responsive, and well-led. This is thanks, in no small part, to the continuous dedication to quality of care and teamwork at both services.
During the assessments at these residential services for individuals who have epilepsy, brain injuries and degenerative illnesses — inspectors heard from residents, family members, their staff, as well as external health and social care professionals about their experiences, and they are proud to have received such positive feedback.
Bethany House was upgraded to ‘Good’ since their last inspection and was commended for strong commitment to delivering high-quality care and staff’s genuine compassion, while promptly and effectively adapting to the needs and preferences of residents and having a meticulous approach to safety protocols.
Bethany Lodge retained their ‘Good’ rating by ensuring safety with vigilant checks, delivering positive health outcomes for residents with compassionate and comprehensive care plans while ensuring that residents feel valued and respected, and fostering a culture of openness and continuous improvement.
Babatunde Ogunsanwo, Registered Manager at Bethany House and Bethany Lodge, said:
