Aylesham & Snowdon Welfare Bowls Club has commenced the winter season with a sponsorship deal for its ‘Winter Programme’ from local housebuilder Barratt Homes, who are behind the ongoing Aylesham development which has just launched its newest phase.
Isolation amongst the elder generation is at an all-time high, with over million one older people stating that they feel lonely . Aylesham & Snowdon Welfare Bowls Club has over 112 members playing at the ‘Welfare Ground’ in the town, which is just a stones’ throw away from Barratt Kent’s Aylesham development. Social clubs like Aylesham & Snowdon Welfare Bowls Club operate a family friendly environment and are integral in tackling such pressing issues facing elderly communities. This is particularly important over the winter months and Barratt Kent’s sponsorship will cover the costs for energy bills over the season and ensure the running of indoor matches and sessions.
