Sydnie Christmas, who was born in Dartford has won Series 17 of Britain’s Got Talent. Sydnie was raised in Kent, however moved to London prior to her audition for the television series as a singer.
She was working as a receptionist at a gym at the time of her audition, but aspired to perform in the West End.
Sydnie took the first Golden Buzzer of the new Britain’s Got Talent 2024 series as Amanda Holden rushed to put her straight through to the live shows. But it was then revealed that Sydnie has had a career which takes in film, music and TV but in the past has worked as a cleaner between auditions and is still looking for her big break.
Sydnie has appeared on stage in the past featuring in productions of the musicals ‘Starlight Express’, ‘Grease’ and ‘Lazarus’. She has also appeared on E4 show Stage School as well as movie Kick Ass 2, while also performing as a lead singer on Royal Caribbean cruises.
After the final last night where Sydnie got the most votes from viewers, she walked away with the win and £250,000, after a stunning performance of classic Somewhere Over The Rainbow.
