Residents, families, and staff at the Old Rectory Care Home in Dymchurch came together in a heartwarming display of community spirit during a special Afternoon Tea and Macmillan Coffee Morning, raising valuable funds for two charities close to many people’s hearts.
The home proudly announced a total of £58 raised for Breast Cancer Now and £54 for Macmillan Cancer Support, thanks to the generosity of everyone who attended, donated, baked, or simply shared a cup of tea in support of the cause.
The event featured homemade cakes, delicious treats, and a welcoming atmosphere that encouraged conversation, connection, and reflection. For many residents and guests, supporting these charities carried personal significance, with cancer touching the lives of so many within the community.
Cheryl Waters, Manager at The Old Rectory Care Home expressed heartfelt gratitude to all involved: “We are thrilled to have supported such meaningful causes.
