Local housebuilder Barratt David Wilson Homes recently hosted two free-of-charge Christmas wreath making workshops for residents at its developments across Kent. Residents had the opportunity to step into the Christmas spirit at Richmond Park in Whitfield and The Poppies in Aylesford.
Spread over the weekends in the run up to Christmas, Barratt David Wilson Kent partnered with two local florists to facilitate a number of family-friendly wreath making workshops. Residents made the most of the workshops, enhancing their creative skills whilst supporting local businesses and using locally sourced materials.
Natalie Perry, Sales and Marketing Director at Barratt David Wilson Kent, said: “With the success of last year’s wreath making workshops, we thought it would be a great idea to offer this activity out to residents once again. We have received such positive feedback, and everyone really embraced the holiday spirit. Thank you to the local florists who made these workshops possible, Love Blooms and Katie’s Florist, and for also providing the guidance residents needed to create their own wreath to take home. We hope everyone has a lovely Christmas.”
Amanda Hardwick from Love Blooms commented: “It was fantastic to see a lovely mix of residents attend the workshop at Richmond Park. Hosting workshops during the festive period is such a fun activity and I am really pleased that Barratt David Wilson Kent got in touch with me to organise one. I could tell that the residents found the activity rewarding, with lots of happy faces when their wreaths finally came together.”
Katie Gill from Katie’s Florist added: “As a florist, I am able to be as creative as possible in my job; however for so many people they don’t have this opportunity. With workshops like wreath making it is the perfect opportunity to enhance your creative flair, so I was really pleased to be able to host a workshop for Barratt David Wilson Kent’s residents at The Poppies. The final results were brilliant, so a big well done to the residents that took part!”
