Football Club Pen New Sponsorship Deal From Sittingbourne Housebuilder

Borden Village Football Club is getting its autumn season off the line with a sponsorship deal for its brand new U9 boys football team from local housebuilder David Wilson Homes, who is building its Applegate Park in village of Borden, just outside of Sittingbourne.

Reported to be one of the oldest football clubs in Kent, Borden Village Football Club ‘The Villagers’ has been in operation since the 1920’s. The community club is located in Borden and plays its home games at Borden Playstool, which is just a stones’ throw away from Applegate Park and nearby to David Wilson Kent’s divisional offices. The sponsorship deal will help cover the newly established U9 boy’s team’s operation costs, including the purchase of a brand-new kit, allowing the team to continue to offer competitive grassroots football and create new teams.

Natalie Perry, Sales and Marketing Director for Barratt Kent, comments: “Grassroots football is extremely important to many people, from children to parents, so for us to help in some way to a club so close to one of our developments is really rewarding. As Borden Village FC’s U9’s are a relatively new team, we are glad to be helping out with one of the club’s aims of expanding and creating new teams. We wish ‘The Villagers’ the best of luck for the rest of the season and for the future!”

Samantha Stone at Borden Village Football Club adds: “As a small, community based football club we rely on the goodness of the local area to help us with essentials such as equipment and kits. Our U9 team is new and exciting for the club, so we hope that their brand-new uniform will put them in their stride for the season ahead. We are always looking to expand and provide as much opportunities as possible to young people in Borden and surrounding areas, so this donation is greatly received. Welcome onboard David Wilson Kent!”
