Housebuilder Backs Dandelion Time As 2026 Charity Partner

Kent housebuilders Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes have announced Dandelion Time as their charity of the year partner for 2026-2027. The housebuilder will be raising money for the Kent-based charity through several fundraising initiatives throughout the year.

Dandelion Time supports children aged 6 to 13 experiencing social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) challenges, many of whom have experienced instability, loss or difficult circumstances that are affecting everyday life. As challenges begin to have a greater impact at home, in school and in relationships, the charity works alongside children and families at a critical stage, helping to prevent difficulties from becoming more deeply embedded. Through a distinctive nature-based approach, children and families come together to experience change through doing, not just talking.

Julie Easy, Income Generation Lead, at Dandelion Time, said: “At a time when increasing numbers of children are struggling with their mental health and wellbeing, we work with families when challenges are beginning to have a greater impact on everyday life, but before they escalate further. We know that with the right support, children can build confidence, strengthen relationships and develop the skills they need to cope when things go wrong.”

“Last year, we supported 290 children and families across Kent through our programmes. Support from partners such as Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes enables us to reach more children and families at this critical stage, helping create stronger foundations for their futures. We are incredibly grateful to have been chosen as their Charity of the Year for 2026.”

Natalie Perry, Sales & Marketing Director at Barratt David Wilson Kent, added: “Dandelion Time began as a single idea of what could be possible by providing therapeutic activities in a natural setting. It has since grown into a lifeline for local families, providing support through some of the toughest times in their lives.

“The charity shows the effectiveness of a nature-based, therapeutic approach to support, which provides relaxing and grounding surroundings for children and their families to connect and develop resilience.

“As we build homes in Kent, we’re committed to supporting the local organisations and initiatives that matter to local people. It’s a pleasure to be able to support Dandelion Time as our charity partner this year, and we look forward to raising money to support their incredible work.”
