Ahead of the summer holidays, premium housebuilder Redrow South East has donated to two local primary schools in Kent; Harrietsham Primary School in Maidstone, and Ebbsfleet Green Primary School. The donations have funded enhanced playground experiences and school celebrations ahead of the summer.
At Harrietsham Primary School, Redrow’s donation has been used to purchase new playground equipment, including scooters and scooter boards, to encourage active outdoor play. The contribution supports the school’s goal of making break times more engaging and energetic for young pupils.
Jackie Chambers, Headteacher at Harrietsham Primary School, said: “We’re so grateful to Redrow South East for their kind support. The new scooters and scooter boards are already proving popular with the children and are helping to make playtime even more fun and active.”
Meanwhile, Ebbsfleet Green Primary School received a donation to support its VE Day celebrations. With over 350 pupils, the school held a series of playground street parties, complete with flags, snacks, and drinks to bring the historic day to life in a fun, educational and memorable way.
Katie Louise Lawrence, Community Engagement Lead at Ebbsfleet Green Primary School, commented: “The donation from Redrow helped us provide a special celebration for our pupils. We were excited to create an experience that was both fun and educational, and it was fantastic to have the support of a local housebuilder who values our community.”
Stuart Galloway, Sales Director at Redrow South East, added: “Young people sit right at the heart of our communities, so we’re always keen to support them however we can. Working directly with local schools in our community is a great way to give back. For us, building homes is only part of the picture, it’s about being a good neighbour too.”
