Bromley-based dance charity Magpie Dance were excited to welcome broadcasting legend and Strictly Come Dancing star Angela Rippon to their full company performance ‘Our People’ on Sunday 27th July.
This performance was a celebration of Magpie Dance’s 40th anniversary and explored how society has changed over time and how we treat one another, as well as reflecting on Magpie Dance’s history, achievements and the people that have made it the success it is.
“We were delighted that Angela Rippon could attend the show” said Alison Ferrao, Magpie Dance’s Artistic Director “her presence in the audience inspired our dancers, many of whom are huge strictly fans.”
Magpie Dance is the UK’s leading dance charity for people with learning disabilities aged 3+. Through dance, participants gain life, social and communication skills with added health and wellbeing benefits.
