A man walking his dog in Welling on Sunday 27th April was struck by a falling tree after branches, which were overhanging the road, were hit by a bus. The bus managed to bring the entire tree down across the pavement and partically into the road. The firebrigade were soon at the scene to assist.
The incident happened at 11.24am on Hook Lane between Merlin Rd North and Faraday Rd. The man was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries so that he could be patched up. The dog was a bit smarter and wasn’t injured.
