Will you join hundreds of cyclists for a mass ride to demand a dedicated cycleway between Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells?
The Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells Bicycle Users Groups are planning a mass cycle along the A26 at 6.30pm on Friday 9th June 2023. The idea is to show the community what the future of safer, healthier, cheaper and more planet-friendly travel could be here in Tunbridge Wells and Tonbridge.
The plan is for two groups, one starting at Tonbridge station, the other at The Fiveways in Tunbridge Wells, that will converge at Southborough Common to unite for change! Then there will be a quick update on the next stage of their campaign. The cycle and gathering will last about 90 minutes.
They say that Mass cycles – the gathering of hundreds of cyclists all travelling together in a big block, will help the cycling community, and most importantly the council, to imagine what a new future could look like.
They hope with plenty of support on the day, it will inspire new enthusiasm for a dedicated cycle pathway.
