Motorcyclist Dies On M2 As McLaren Driver Arrested

A white Yamaha motorcycle rider has died following a hit and run crash involving a sports car on the M2 between junction 3 and 4.

Emergency services arrived on the scene between Chatham and Hempstead near Gillingham at 2.30pm on Sunday 9th March where the man, in his 30s, was pronounced dead.

The purple McLaren initially left the scene but the driver was found and later arrested by Kent Police and is being held in custody.

The police are asking anyone with information including “any footage capturing the manner of driving from either vehicles prior to the collision” to come forward.

Diversions were in place until the end of the day as investigation took place.
