Sidcup Primary School Forced To Go Into Lockdown

A school in Sidcup was forced to implement safety measures yesterday due to an immediate threat outside.

Royal Park Primary School sent out a message to parents/guardians at 2.30pm yesterday warning of the threat and that all pupils and staff had been secured inside the building.

There was no specific description as to what the immediate threat may be. Police were contacted and were soon in the vicinity to deal with the threat.

It is a frightening thought when schools are being taken into lockdown situations to protect pupils from outside threats. It shows the sad decline in safety in general in our public places.
