Police officers patrolling the area around Edenbridge have seized suspected cannabis edibles and other illegal drugs as part of their routine work.
Local beat officers responded to reports of possible drug use and anti-social behaviour at a rural property near the village of Hever.
Police attended the property on Monday 12th May 2025 and arrested a 29-year-old man on suspicion of drug dealing. A subsequent search of the address led to police seizing a large amount of cannabis and suspected cannabis edibles.
Cash, a baton and other drugs paraphernalia were also seized and an investigation into criminal activity at the property is ongoing.
Inspector Mike Alvey said ‘Community policing is all about listening to the public’s concerns and taking action against anyone breaking the law. In this case, officers have heard people’s worries about activity at this property and quickly taken action to make an arrest and remove drugs, potentially dangerous to children, from circulation.’
