A woman has been airlifted to a London hospital with serious injuries after being struck by a golf buggy around 11am on Tuesday 29th April.
Police, paramedics and the air ambulance were called to Whitstable and Seasalter Golf Club, off Collingwood Road, Whitstable, after the serious incident was reported.
The woman suffered serious injuries after being struck by a golf buggy being driven by another member of the club.
The ambulance service said the patient was airlifted to King’s College Hospital for further medical treatment.
Club director Derek Bates said ‘A lady member of Whitstable Golf Club was seriously injured this morning as a result of being struck by a golf buggy being driven by another member of the club. Other lady club members who were present at the scene responded brilliantly and gave essential first aid before the arrival of emergency services who were on site within minutes. Our thoughts are with our injured lady member who we hope will make a full and speedy recovery.’
