Police Officers responded to reports of youths trespassing at High Brooms station on Wednesday evening.
The report also stated that the youths had been seen on the live tracks, so the police deployed a drone unit to assist in checking the tracks quickly and in a safe manner.
Although the police drone was able to scan a large area, they were unable to locate any youths, who had since move away. There were some delays to services whilst the search took place.
Police are urging people to stay away from train stations and the tracks or they will be risking their lives. Police had already issued injunctions to keep youths away from other stations and they may look to do the same again at High Brooms if there are further issues.
