An aqua park in Kent known for its turquoise coloured lake has a new thrill for the public, as it hasd added its “ultimate summer slide experience”.
The high-speed La Jefa is described as a “towering centrepiece” for families to “slip, slide and splash” across the water at St Andrews Lakes in Halling (between Snodland and Cuxton), which is the largest aqua park in Kent. It was installed on Thursday, 12th June and was opened to the public on Friday 13th June.
St Andrews is a 70-acre lake of clear, spring-fed water and a growing number of floating obstacles, slides, jump stations and splash zones have been added. The former quarry was transformed into a blue lake reserve, with water and land-based activities for all ages and the water is so colourful and vibrant because of suspended chalk particles and the way they reflect the light.
The attraction near Rochester also has a private sandy ‘beach’, paddleboarding, kayaking, a zip wire and axe throwing. There’s also wall climbing, archery, sailing courses, paddleboard tuition and activity days for the children during the school holidays.
There is the wellness area, which has woodfired lakeside saunas, hot tubs and a cold plunge lagoon, along with a relaxation area for the adults .
Aqua park tickets are a whopping £25 per person for a 50-minute session, with family packages and discounts are available. The minimum age for the aqua park is six years old. All sessions include buoyancy aids, lifeguards, and a safety briefing.
