Beaver Rescue In Ramsgate

Walkers on Western Undercliff beach yesterday lunchtime spotted a distressed beaver in need of help.

It is thought the beaver could have been stranded in the area for up to two weeks. It appeared to be quite weak and in need of food and shelter.

A call was put in to Wildwood Trust, which is a centre of excellence for the conservation of British wildlife. It is based in Canterbury and has been run as a charity since 2002.

Some people from Wildwood Trust were soon on the scene and have taken the poor beaver back to their centre for evaluation.

There is no further updates at present as to the welfare of the beaver, but there may be news posted on the Wildwood Trust website, which can be found here.
