UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson made a surprise visit to a vaccination centre in Ramsgate yesterday.
Boris met with a number of Royal Navy personnel who are helping with the COVID booster programme.
It was a boost to the Royal Navy as sometimes Ministers describe the Armed Forces supporting the booster programme as ‘the Army’, rather than mentioning the individual forces.
It is unknown how long the Prime Minister disrupted proceedings whilst he ensured the mandatory photograph session with a ‘big thumps up’ went ahead for the media.
Thank you for your service, sorry for the clown bothering you whilst you’re at work
As can be seen, Boris was still in the process of rolling up his sleeves to look like he had been working just as hard as the professionally trained medics, as the photographer took the snap.
There is mixed reactions to the Royal Navy helping out with the booster programme. Many of the Navy personnel have been away on duty and many think it would be fair to allow them to spend time with their families at Christmas. Thankfully there are many good people who are willing to give up their time to help others.
Let’s hope that Boris decides to drop into a number of NHS vaccination centres, as NHS staff also need more recognition for the hard work they are doing to protect the people.
In the meantime, Boris is doing all he can to avoid any discussions of Christmas parties and is making himself look like he is busily working hard. Well done old chap!
