Drunk Thief Crashes Car Near Crockenhill

A thief who stole an expensive bottle of wine from a convenience store in Crockenhill came to a sticky end after losing control of their vehicle.

The person was first spotted removing a bottle of wine by the store owner just after 2pm on Monday 16th September. Despite the owner giving chase and grabbing the car door, the man drove away at speed wit their stolen item.

The crashed vehicle seen soon afterwards

Later on, the same vehicle was spotted in the front garden of a local property. The car had hit at least one other vehicle before crashing into the building. Apparently the driver attempted to run away on foot but was stopped by a member of the public. Reports from those at the scene say that the man was drunk.

The police were soon on the scene and arrested him.
