Evacuations At Flats In Dover Following Bin Fire

The occupants of 42 flats were evacuated after a large fire broke out at Conqueror House on Crabble Hill in Dover around 1am on Easter Sunday.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service (KFRS) were soon on the scene to extinguish the fire. Two people suffered smoke inhalation. Unconfirmed report claims the wheelie bin shed next to the flats was set on fire, which then spread to the adjoining properties.

KFRS were still on site on Monday morning checking for any hotspots

Donations to those displaced by the fire can be taken to Dover Working Mans Club. Most needed items are Mobile phone charger cables, deodorants, tooth brushes & toothpaste, wash products, stationary, hand bags, rucksacks, clean clothes, bath towels.
