Residents at Fairways Care Home recently embraced the colourful illustrative world of emojis during a lively cognitive stimulation activity that brought smiles all around.
In this creative group session participants took on the challenge of an emoji picture guessing game. Testing their wits and teamwork as they deciphered everyday phrases and cracked the emoji codes. The atmosphere buzzed with laughter, friendly competition, and plenty of “aha!” moments as everyone got stuck in.
“It’s these little moments that spark big smiles,” said Alison Yarnley, Manager at Fairways Care Home. “Activities like this aren’t just fun — they’re brilliant for cognitive health and social connection.”
The emoji challenge supported residents’ memory and problem-solving skills while promoting a sense of community through shared enjoyment and laughter. It’s a wonderful reminder that puzzles don’t have to serious, they can be fun too!
