Kent Police have been working in conjunction with Gravesham Borough Council to take on fly-tippers in the area. They have also been helped by experts from the Environment Agency and Waste Crime Teams to prevent illegal carrying of waste & fly-tipping activity.
Over the last few days they have stopped multiple vehicles on the roads to examine their loads and check paperwork.
Production notices have been issued to a number of drivers. They have also managed to seize two suspected stolen vehicles.
There has been a positive response from locals who are happy to see the proactive approach from police and the authorities to stop this illegal activity.
