Kent Trading Standards is warning of a scam which could affect people over the Bank holidays.
Some residents have already been affected and there is a risk that more could fall foul of the criminals.
The scam works by the criminals pretending to be from the bank. Criminals will claim your bank account has been compromised and to move your money to a safe account.
Please be wary of who you accept calls from and always assume that the bank would never call you directly. If you are unsure, do not give any personal details and say that you will call the bank back.
