Orpington Residents Protest Against ULEZ

People in Orpington took to the streets on Saturday 19th August 2023 in protest to the new ULEZ scheme. Passing cars honked their horns in support for the local residents, ‘Anti-ULEZ’ protest. Those assembled, peacefully voiced their frustration and anger at the ULEZ Expansion into Orpington from Labour Mayor Sadiq Khan.

The event was led by Reform Party Candidate for London Mayor, Howard Cox. The protestors ensured that the protest remained peaceful, with no antics on a par with the ‘Climate Communists’ – ‘Just Stop Oil’ protesters. They wanted to make sure they gained maximum support, without disrupting people’s day and it al lwent as planned.

Howard, said that he was “delighted with the tremendous turnout in Orpington”, thanking those who came along to peacefully protest against the crippling cost of ULEZ to motorists, business and supporters of liberty.

The local police in attendance, near Orpington War Memorial, reported ‘net-zero’ trouble, or arrests.

On Sunday 20th August, the Anti-ULEZ movement was active in London, as bikers took a turn to support Howard Cox and his crusade to ‘SCRAP ULEZ’ altogether.
