A police motorcyclist pulled over a van driver yesterday after spotting him using his mobile phone.
The ‘rare phenomenon’ of actually seeing a driver using a mobile phone being pulled over by the police, happened yesterday (4th September) near Cobham, Gravesend.
After the driver had stopped, police soon found that the driver was only on a provisional licence. To compound matters, there was also no seat belt and the load was not secured.
The final nail in the coffin was that the vehicle tax expired in January 2021.
Police seized the vehicle and the driver has been reported for all offences.
