Suspected Drug Dealer From Chatham Charged

Drugs have been seized and a suspected class A dealer charged in Chatham, after officers were alerted to suspicious behaviour at a property near to the town centre shortly before 10am on Saturday 2nd August 2025.

A man was detained at a premises and a search led to the recovery of a substance believed to be cocaine, along with cannabis, deal bags, cash and various drugs-related paraphernalia.

The following day, Stephen Stewart, 41, was charged with possession with intent to supply cocaine and cannabis, and being concerned in their supply.

Mr Stewart, of Eldon Street, Chatham, appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Monday 4th August and was remanded in custody to Maidstone Crown Court on Monday 1st September.
