A rather unique police vehicle has been spotted on patrol of Kents streets by eagle-eyed pedestrians. It was seen in East Kent yesterday on a routine patrol. Not sure exactly what the police were patrolling for in this, perhaps they were expecting a large riot?
The ballistically protected vehicle has been with the force since 2017 when it was registered, and is one of Kent Polices Tactical Operations specialised pieces of equipment. It certainly is specialised, it looks like it has come straight from the film ‘Robocop’.
The police have confirmed that they can use the vehicle, if necessary, to keep the public and police safe.
It’s probably more likely to keep the police safe, considering they would be on the inside and the poor public on the outside!
