In a vibrant display of support for Marie Curie, Wombwell Hall Care Home transformed into a sea of yellow as staff members adorned themselves in the cheerful hue.
From painted nails to yellow accessories, carers Manjit Dahoya and Seema Kumar led the charge in embracing the charity’s yellow-tastic theme, all in an effort to raise vital funds for Marie Curie’s invaluable work.
Suggested by for Lisa Cox, the company’s customer relations representative, the initiative holds a special significance. Lisa’s father received compassionate support from Marie Curie until his passing, highlighting the profound impact of the organisation’s services on individuals and families during their most vulnerable moments.
Expressing the heartfelt sentiment behind the initiative, Lisa emphasised; “It’s incredibly important to all of us to support charities such as Marie Curie. Supporting people at their most vulnerable is such an incredible role in life and one we understand only too well at Wombwell Hall Care Home. To bring a ray of sunshine into the home whilst raising money was such a pleasure to all of us.”

Claire Skinner, Manager at Wombwell Hall Care Home says; “With one in four people currently lacking access to the care they require at the end of life, initiatives such as this play a crucial role in bridging the gap and ensuring support for individuals and their loved ones.”

£17 could help cover the cost of a call to the Support Line, offering practical information and emotional support to those in need.
£207 could fund nine hours of nursing care in the comfort of someone’s home through the night, providing invaluable assistance during challenging times.
£530 could support Marie Curie’s Companions service for a year, offering companionship and support to individuals at the end of life and their closest family members.
