Damage To Buses In Canterbury and Whitstable

Kent Police in Canterbury are working closely with Stagecoach bus company following reports of damage to buses in Whitstable and Canterbury over a number of weeks.

This has included officers in plain clothes and uniform travelling on the buses, and following them on their route. Not a bad job for a police officer if you are a fan of ‘Coach Trip’.

The police have not provided any further information but it would seem that the damage is following a regular pattern or is happening on particular routes.

Thankfully there have been no injuries to drivers reported, but the damage to the buses is unacceptable and is costly to repair. It also keeps buses off the street whilst they are being made roadworthy again.

Kent police take these incidents very seriously and will continue to support Stagecoach and their staff over the coming weeks.
