The farmers market in Tonbridge has reopened today after bring closed for months due to the COVID pandemic. A one-way system has been implemented and there was a social-distancing queue in place.
The market takes place at Sovereign Way, Tonbridge TN19 1RG and is open between 9.30am until 1.30pm. Customers are being advised to wash their hands and not to touch the produce – simple rules that were in place before the outbreak. There are hand sanitiser stands at hand, so that you can wash down your husband if he has not bathed for a week.
There are also facilities to allow customers to pay by card, so that shoppers can avoid using cash. They have asked people to ‘be kind’, which could be a struggle for some, especially if they see someone else buying the last ‘carrot cake’.
The weather is looking fantastic, so slap on your factor 50 and go and find some nice treats for your Sunday dinner.
