Following the Queens funeral yesterday, the Knoll Residents Association in Orpington, South-East London, gathered together yesterday to pay their respects to the late Monarch by creating a huge profile of her majesty using250 candles.
Each resident placed one candle each to form a huge outline of the Queen, together they made a stunning profile similar to one seen on a postage stamp. It was then photographed from above using a camera attached to a drone.
Stephen Sangster, 40, chairman of the association said ‘By using candles, we were able to create something that was really quite special, and people came out in their hundreds on what was a drizzly, cold evening to pay their respects.’
