Kent police stumbled across a lot more when they stopped a suspected cloned car yesterday.
They decided to pull over the blue Mercedes in Dartford after becoming suspicious that the registration plate was not correct.
After searching the car, it appeared that the two occupants were prepared to commit offences. The equipment they were found in possession of is often used in the theft of catalytic converters.
Both driver and passenger were arrested for going equipped & theft of motor vehicle.
It was the Sergeants last day before his retirement, so he found a good way to bow out of the job, taking two criminals off the road on his way out!
